i'm an american who would like to move to Italy after college and live there for a while. I studied abroad there for 4 months and speak italian fairly well. how can i get a work visa so that i may legally live and work there? any ideas for looking for jobs abroad through american companies?

The easiest and best way is through an American company. Or get married. Otherwise it's a complete complicated mess (if you can even manage to get a permit) and they only pay you around 1200 euro a month anyways.
