After college I was thinking of going to Italy to work in a restaurant or winery. Work visa stuff is not an issue because I hold an Italian passport, only problem is I am having trouble finding viable restaurant/ winery information before hand . Any help would be great

Joe, Italy is pretty much like anyplace else. You check the want ads in the local papers for help wanted. If you speak and read Italian, so much the better. Head over to http://www.google.com and do a search on 'italian newspapers classified ads' - Stuart

Hi there, I think it's also wise to prepare yourself mentally for the fact that these are typically jobs that are quite low paid. Particularly in a winery, if you are not managing or directing the place, you will be considered an unskilled laborer. These jobs are often filled by immigrant or migrant workers and can pay as little as 700 Euro per month, which in Italy won't get you far. Restaurants are usually not much better. Servers do not get tipped more than a few euro, and the salary is normally anywhere from 800 Euro to 1500, depending on the restaurant. I would expect the higher end only at a fine restaurant and after several years of service. I don't mean to discourage you, as Italy is a wonderful country and certainly will bring you lots of new experiences, but it is important to have realistic expectations before you arrive. Good luck!
