What are some good work abroad programs for a canadian wanting to live and work in italy for a short term?
I've been looking online and I can not find any information for a Canadian work abroad program. I can only find ones for u.s. citizens, or programs to work in Australia. Any suggestions or experience with this would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks in advance!!

Have you tried throught he YMCA or Travel and Tourism Italy. Or perhaps a summer swap, someone takes your place here, you take theirs in Italy. If you speak both languages how about applying to a travel agency as a courier for their vacation tours. Work in the vineyards and farms in summer, you make your board and keep and it's very rewarding. Perhaps even in a school to teach possible newcomers to Canada to learn English. Advertise on the Craigs Lists of Italy and likely something will come up. Try one of the books such as "Living and Working in Italy" contact the Italian Embassy or High Commission here. justlanded.com/english/Italy/Tools www.seasonworkers.com Go to MSN.Italy.com... and search the newspapers. You could also ask your local church if they can assist you with a student or employee swap or program. If you do speak both languages however, being a courier is wonderful, you travel, meet people, relate the local history, travel to local historical spots, vineyards... Also ask Alitalia if they know of anything in the busy travel season. Good luck and hopefully... Bon Voyage!

:) Well, we have the same idea... the only difference is that I am Italian and I would like to work in Canada!!! :) I have good news for you: in the website of the Canadian Embassy of Rome you can find what you are looking for! http://www.international.gc.ca/canada-europa/italy/working_holiday_program-en.asp With this working holiday program, Italians can work in Canada, and Canadians can work in Italy :)

You had better start studying Italian intensively right now, because it will be very difficult without it, and you will not be of much use to the firm. And do keep working on your English as well!

You'll need a plug converter. Basically you plug in what you have to plug in and this converter allows you to charge stuff. So you plug your psp charger into this plug converter and then you have to plug into the converter into the wall. Remember to plug in the converter then plug your charger into the converter and it will charge. Otherwise if you try to plug your psp charger in the wall in italy with out this converter it should have seriously bad results. Make sure you get one of these converters before you leave. As different countries have different voltage outputs in plugs.
