Going to Italy for 2 weeks in about a month. Wondering if my tracfone will work there and if so how much it will cost. Can I use Skype? Any other alternatives that are better?

skype should work, but then there are also calling cards (which you should carry at least one on you just in case.) and at the risk of sounding stupid: magicjack. i do not recommend you using your tracphone because even though it is a prepaid they can still charge you roaming fees and international calling fees.

A Tracfone will not work in Italy. Skype would be a good alternative. You can always pick up a prepaid cell phone while in Italy as well.
