will my electrical appliances work in italy

will my electrical appliances work in italy?
im traveling to florence italy and i wanna know if my FHI hair flat iron which i believe is 58watts will work if i get a converter and adapter. i heard it could still ruin my straightener even if i have the correct converter. and i also have a MAC laptop. will that work?

Yeah i'm pretty sure it should work. If your not sure on the MAC laptop, i'd take a browse through the support section on the apple site, to see if there is an answer on there. http://www.apple.com/ As for iron i'm not 100% on, but it SHOULD be ok. You should also review this more carefully before you go. Incase you need to buy an adapter. Hope this helps! ;)
